Feedjit Messaging Rules
Feedjit allows you to send short 140
character messages to members. However, you can only message members
under certain conditions. The rules are simple:
1. If you have given a blog or website
permission to show you in their Live Traffic Feed, then that webmaster
may message you.
2. You may only contact a webmaster or blogger
once they have sent you a message for the first time.
3. To block
someone, just block their live traffic feed from showing you.
Webmasters and Bloggers can block visitors from messaging them by
blocking them from appearing in their live traffic feed.
Someone visited my blog and appeared in my
feed. Can I message them on another website?
Yes you can. As long as
you have permission to contact someone you can contact them even if you
are on someone else's website.
Why can't visitors contact webmasters or
bloggers until they have been sent a message for the first time?
This rule prevents
people from visiting thousands of websites and spamming every blogger
using Feedjit.
Why
can't webmasters or bloggers contact visitors until they have chosen to
appear in their live traffic feed?
This prevents webmasters from spamming visitors
until that visitor has said they trust your blog or website.
